Brasserie Bakboord combines classic and modern cuisines. Executive chef Lars Bertelsen is known for his specialism in nontraditional dishes that underline the culinary craftsmanship of him and his team. Each dish consists of unexpected elements and combinations.

To give all guests during the Pandemic a great experience nevertheless, the chef has paired the best of dinner and lunch in the DINCH. Arrival from 12:00 to 15:30, reserve online.

We follow the Corona measures which means, among other things, that all tables are at least 1.5 meters from each other and that we check for the Corona QR code.

Courses are created using fresh, and where possible, local and sustainable ingredients.

We follow influences from all over the world to create pure dishes with finesse.

Wagyu Dry Aged

The unique taste experience; Wagyu Hida Gyu beef. Dry-aging is the oldest and most well-known method of providing beef with the tenderness and flavor it deserves. In the Dry Ager maturing cabinet, the meat ripens in the bone at a humidity of approximately 85% and a temperature of 2 degrees Celsius, varying from 21 to 120 days.

The kitchen team

Executive Chef Lars Bertelsen and chef Chen Margolin have been working together for over 7 years.

Where one may be stronger in terms of innovation and taste, the other excels in organizing and implementation.

With respect for each other, they learn from one another. They motivate each other to make every single new dish better than the last. They are a cradle of experience and knowledge where all chefs working in the kitchen can rely on and enrich with.

The service team

The knowledgeable front-of-house team is guided by Chris Bos, and his charming assistant Rianne Steenkamp. Chris, with his extensive wine knowledge, knows all the regulars by heart. Rianne ensures innovation and development in order to convey the best Bakboord experience to the guest as a team.

The restaurant team, professionals, bespoke and friendly will do their utmost to ensure that every single guest leaves completely satisfied.

Wine and food in just the right balance ensure an unmatched experience. Our team has selected wines with great care to accompany the refined dishes served.

Our wine menu consists of classics from known regions to innovative wines from unknown producers. Furthermore, we serve a wine pairing adjoining our 3 to 7-course menu resulting in a balanced wine menu.

PRIVATE DINING

Brasserie Bakboord offers seats to a maximum of 8 persons per table. Private dining with the same level of personal attention and detail in our dishes is possible up to a maximum of 14 guests. Furthermore, It is possible to rent the entire restaurant.

The Albus Hotel in Amsterdam Centre has everything for a night out including dinner in  Amsterdam. Relax in your design Suite and prepare for dinner in Senses Michelin-rated restaurant. Each dish can be supplemented with a matching glass of wine so that the chef's creations provide an even better taste experience. That is extra enjoyment!

Opening hours

From November 28 to Sunday December 19 from 11:00 - 17:00 we are open for the DINCH (the beauty of dinner and lunch combined). Arrival until 3:30 pm. Last order kitchen 4:00 pm.

From Wednesday 1 December to 19 December 2021 you can order the famous HOME MENU with us. Also for Christmas Eve, the first and second day of Christmas there will be the possibility to order a Christmas dinner that is easy to finish at home.

We will be closed from 27 December 2021 to 2 January 2022. From Monday 3 January 2022, we will be open again for dinner from 17:00 (if allowed!).
